“Hold-ups on Jade”

Well, I had good intentions.

I’m going to be headed off, for the next couple of weeks, for some workshops and lectures in Norway (more info on that coming soon). It seemed reasonable enough to get a beta of Jade 1.5 out the door before I leave, but it just isn’t going to happen. Here’s why:

First off, I can’t get the latest public beta of Max to compile the app properly. That’s a problem. I can try downgrading and all other sorts of madness, but the reality is that it would be a waste of time to do that instead of waiting for a new beta or fix (I’d rather spend my time working on TapTools2).

I also have a few annoying issues that I need to pin-point and get addressed - I just haven’t had a chance to do it yet. One of these is that parts of the screen stop re-drawing themselves. Fortunately, you can click on that “refresh” button in the nameplate to solve it - but it will inevitably re-occur, and it is not acceptable in final rev.

Everything else seems to be working fine, so once these wrinkles are ironed out I should be able pass out a version for feedback…
